HR Unit

The Human Resources Unit of the Global Tsunami Model (GTM) e.V. supports the association’s long-term sustainability by building a motivated, inclusive, and collaborative community of experts.

Led by Clea Lumina Denamiel, the unit focuses on developing and implementing policies and practices that promote collaboration, recognition, and professional growth among GTM’s members and partner institutions.

Our Mission

We aim to build a supportive and inclusive environment where scientists, engineers, and partner organizations can contribute effectively to GTM’s goals.
Our approach emphasizes:

  • Empowerment and recognition of individual and institutional contributions.
  • Professional development through training, mentoring, and knowledge exchange.
  • Transparent and respectful collaboration based on clear communication and mutual trust.
  • Gradual professionalization of GTM’s structure through the recruitment of dedicated staff and stronger institutional partnerships.

Looking Ahead

The Human Resources Unit is implementing a roadmap to:

  • Map and connect GTM’s global pool of experts.
  • Strengthen motivation and engagement.
  • Establish the framework for future professional staff.
  • Maintain an open, inclusive, and respectful working culture.

Through these actions, the unit ensures that GTM remains not only a scientific network but also a thriving and supportive community — one that values the people who make global tsunami resilience possible.
