Legal/Compliance Unit

The compliance and legal unit of GTM is chaired by board members A. Rudloff and J. Behrens. 

It develops template legal agreements for collaboration with industry and other partners. One example being the pilot collaboration with Munich Re. A second immediate responsibility is the operation of transparent and legally adequate accounting procedures, including managing the bank account, setting up payment options for international members, and applying for tax exemption as a charitable association.

The unit will be involved in developing a code of conduct for members, in particular with respect to scientific excellence, as well as developing guidelines for relation of GTM with external partners. Another objective together with the HR unit is the implementation of transparent and fair allocation procedures for acquiring and distribution external funds to experts within the membership.
