Collaboration with EPOS Tsunami-TCS

Thematic Core Services (TCS) “Tsunami” is a branch of EPOS ERIC – European Plate Observing System: the only European Research Infrastructure Consortium in the field of solid Earth research. As a consortium representing the European tsunami community, TCS Tsunami currently unites 20 institutions from 11 European countries. The mission of EPOS (and TCS Tsunami) is to provide high-quality scientific services, including the distribution of Data, Data Products, Software, and Services in line with the FAIR principles.

Services of the EPOS TCS Tsunami are being provided through the main EPOS Data Portal https://www.ics-c.epos-eu.org/ and also through the Community portal https://tsunamidata.org and organized along the four main Pillars:

1. Support to Tsunami Service Providers (TSPs)
2. Tsunami data
3. Numerical Models
4. Hazard and risk products

GTM has a strong collaboration with the EPOS TCS, by co-developing a range of services, in particular related to Pillars 3 and 4. These include for instance numerical models (Amplification factor models, HySEA, BingClaw, and TS-GAUSS) and the ChEESE hazard workflows for local hazard analysis, and regional and global hazard datasets.
